Now don't start all that again

We all know HPI can't think for themselves and just pinch all the good ideas from Tamiya

Surely the most contradictory post in forum history

I will bring shame to the Tamiya clan - i quite like the look of that Pro 4 and the Hotbodies Cyclone

I know Marc, I was looking to see if anyone would bite

I know the Pro4 is just a slightly modified Evo3, but having driven Bryce's on carpet (with the dreaded one-way) I quite liked it. It was a bit of a shock that I liked it even with a one way in it

I have never tried my one way in, but looking at David Mck's on Friday night I was very impressed.

His car looked on rails.

I still think that you need to be a good driver (or very lucky in some cases) to get a one way to perform right on wood with shaft drive - but on carpet I thought it made the Pro4 alot more responsive both through and out of the corners :D

Well after 16 months with exactly the same car, i have upgraded my old car with a number of bits from the Hara, bought the new top deck, aluminium input shafts, new delrin outdrives, and improved the diffs with new nuts. Planning on adding comp shocks when ive got the cash sorted during next year.

Bought the spool diff aswell to try on the carpet 8)

Hopefully it will move the car forward a touch! Trying to get the bits sorted for Sunday and trying it out!

Don't do it - you will blow it up! Spools are rotten on carpet with foams.

It would be worth trying it on Wood tho.

Thanks for the advice, maybe give it a go on wood then!

Always planned to get one for outdoor racing if i choose to do that next year anyway!

A spool is almost a must at Stonehaven - I'm sure you'll love it, just don't try it on Carpet!

I've been using mine on carpet for months

The car loses far too much speed off the throtle for it to be worthwhile, you can use the brakes tho which is a bonus.

You think? I think I've been driving the best I ever have with it fitted, and occasionally get the results to prove it :D I'd never go back to using a diff in the front of the 415, it just drives so much better with it and suits my driving style perfectly 8) Plus it's one less diff to worry about...

I'd choose a one-way over them both - I should have said that, you don't lose the momentum with a one-way.

That's because you can't stop
