Got mine from rcmodel and precision - neither were particularly cheap, but they were the only folk with stock at the time.

Re the import tax thing Raymondo, Ross and I have bought loads of stuff from the far east and NEVER been hit with any form of import tax unlike USA which is a bit hit or miss. I think the import tax is the normal 17.5% on anything over £28 but don't quote me on that..!!

Thanks Smally, Speedtech seem to have the best price at the moment. Just have to take a gamble on the Tax, should still work out cheaper than getting one here.

Hi as Gordy says, if your hit for tax its usually 17.5%, last time I got hit it was, but then Parcelforce hit you with their charge usually around £14.00-£15.00 which is just that bit more than the vat,
so allow say £30.00 on top of the far east total and you will be in the right ball park
Hope this helps with the calcs

Just have to take a gamble on the Tax
just email them and ask them to put a low parcel value

Or.... you could try buying it in the UK. What you'll save from HK or the states, you'll spend in postage. And with a bit of haggling, I got mine for £280 delivered from the UK.

Far east = not a problem
USA = no chance......they just won't do it:???: (in my experience anyway)

Remember the exchange rate is great against the dollar just now;)
Some of the far east postage is pretty good but you do need to shop around....I don't think 20 quid for postage on something that's coming from the other side of the world is excesive. Jings some UK sellers on ebay charge 20 quid and it's only coming from Englandshire:tsk:

If you're buying from the east, remember to see if the price is in US dollars, not Japanese Yen - you'll get a better deal this way.

I have been speaking to a couple of the guys who send things international and the are quite happy to mark it down but obviously its at my own risk.
I think it is the Gift part they are not happy with as they can get caught for this or something.
