Could we get a new website look which is more up to date with what the club is doing at the moment? I've had a go at designing something myself, It took me no more than a couple of hours and I am not very familiar with doing anything like this, ie never. Have a look and see what you think and if it would be possible for us to have something more like this. Surely if I can do this, Dave could do something with ours.
Any comments would be welcome. My first website design is online at http://www.wix.com/colinmccaffery/frcc

Give it a couple years Scotty, no joke. Still no input from the webmaster yet, come on Dave, can you do anything for us.

Hi Guys
Can you state what it is you would like to be done?
As we have previously spoken I have contact ballsie and also there was a problem with the password to the website so had to wait on the hosts resetting it.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Colin
I have read it but I personally do not have enough time to redesign the homepage but anyone who would like to I can support them with the implementation of it onto the server.
Personally, I do not think that there is anything wrong with the current website just needs the information updated.
If anyone thinks that I need to do more or has any ideas then please PM me.

Guess you could be correct, information does need updating. Its already two years and counting.

Why don't you just put a update on the front page??

This was agreed at the AGM that the front page wold be updated. Perhaps a simple change of colour and font would help.
I would like to see more details of what is going on and when with a home page link to the FRCC calendar (which currently shows the 2010 calendar).
We need to let people know that Fridays are TC and Buggies mixing between wood and carpet.
The out of date championship standings should be deleted from the home page and a new set of standings linked somewhere else.
The image galleries are now 4 years old, does anyone have any newer pics or vids to add or can we at least remove the dates so they don't appear out dated.
Might as well delete the Bebo group.

This was agreed at the AGM that the front page wold be updated.
It was agreed but I physically do not have the time to do the ideas/writing but I can update it.
Noone else at the AGM had the skills to do the website and I am happy to do the updating but as of yet the only thing I have had across is the new list of 2011 FRCC members and this has been updated.

Dave, is updating the website something I could do or learn to do? If so I would be willing to do it, and the fact i am normally at the club means there would be no problem trying to transfer information from the club to you and back again.

Do you know your way around html, php and xml?
To update the website you would need to open up the files on the server and directly edit them.
If you have anything you would like to be put online send it to me in a PM/email.

<b>Not alot</b><p>

It was more to say that it is not a content managed website and you would need to know your way around the files to find the bits needing editing and be able to edit the files without breaking the code.
I would rather any changes anyone would like done be sent and I can action them.

Thanks for updating the home page Dave, If you could keep it up to date using the sticky calander for 2011 each week, say on a Monday. Could you add that its the Scottish 1/10th scale offroad championship AGM this Sunday 27th Feb 2011 at midday at the Bowhouse community centre, and maybe change the colour of the homepage each week to maybe bring peoples attention to the changes, otherwise i think that they will just skip it and go on to the forum without noticing that its being updated. Cheers Dave.

Hi Colin
I think that is the problem the forum is the place people come if I am being honest.
I will try my best to keep the information updated.
