Who would be up for a day out to the Xtreme Karting in Falkirk

Looking at £32.50 per driver and would need to see what dates are available.

This would be a good event for especially a night off the racing.

Format:

Drivers register to race at reception.
Drivers receive National Karting Association approved briefing covering all safety procedures, kart control, racing tips and explanation of race format.
Practice session for each driver to allow familiarisation with karts and track layout
5 Heat races per driver. Starting from different grid positions on each race and racing against different drivers, each heat is 6 laps long and points are then awarded based on finishing positions.
The race information system (featuring the latest computerised timing system available) displays pictures of the drivers currently racing, the race positions/lap times during the heats and the full points leaderboard.
The top drivers qualify for the 10 lap grand final.
The top 3 drivers climb the podium and are awarded their trophies.
Digital pictures of the winners and racers can be taken for distribution afterwards.

Free dates from racing on a friday night are:

28th September
12th October
23rd November
7th December
Any Saturday or Sunday

I'm interested in going but not in that format, you can get two 20 lap seassions for £20 wich is a far better deal IMO, plus you just turn up and drive

AS FRCC has a few younger members, what is the age limit? Is there a junior heats available?

What Ross suggests, is there any structure to that sort of deal? Surely if we were going as a club, we would want the place, and our sessions to ourselves, and at the end of the night, we would know who was the overall winners for junior and senior drivers.

Could Bryce not organise a cheap deal?

Looks like age limit of 10 and above.

What ross suggests would mean that u would be on the track with another 9 drivers or so but there would be no overall winner. I do not think that this would be the best format

I don't think bryce works there anymore but maybe he can still get a good deal.

Bryce gave it up a few weeks ago but he might be able too

I just suggested the 2 session format as I've been to a few of the type you suggested, and it's hell of a slow. There's alot of standing about and you only the top ten drivers get a final, so it could be alot of cash to fork out for not alot of track time. As long as you have a group of over 5 people and the place isn't too busy you get the track to yourself anyway.

You can tell who is fastest by the time sheets you get at the end, you could work out the winner by either laps or lowest times... either or really.

As for juniors they have special karts for smaller people, but I'm not too sure what the age limit is.

I have went a couple of times, when i went we got 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the fastest lap times (i came 2nd). But we could have it for juniors and seniors maybe?
The age limit is 10 and in a junior session/heat its age 10-15, senior is 16+.
