Entry forms are now available online at www.ddrcc.co.uk (http://www.ddrcc.co.uk) for the
2007/2008 Scottish Carpet Championship.

There are a number of improvements this year, these are detailed on the entry form and also the club forum.

This series has slowly got better, and it's hoped that this years format will appeal to even more drivers. If you want to be part of it then send in your entry form as soon as possible.

What do u mean either. They have dropped 27t, and are running 19t and mod. Seems sensible to me. I wld prefer one class, but i think theres more call for mod on carpet than 27t

Just looked at the entry form, trust you all have your electrical certificate for your equipment or could cost you an extra £2 - £10 for the test certificate or you can not use; presume that does exclude items using 12 volt battery though.
Just my observations M8s, have a good days racing

They had the same thing on the form last year, and nothing was ever checked.

i dont know about there being more demand for mod on carpet than 27 gary, there was actualy more people registered more than a single score in 27 turn than in 19 turn last year at the scc

19 and 27 turn are running together in one class but with only the 19 turn title up for grabs, 27 turn title is no more. touring car experimental class (basically a modified class) is something i asked for last year but got shot down from all angles for having the nerve to ask for but there you go i guess the right person must have asked for it this year.

1/12th for me i think my hot bodies C12 arrived this morning :)

If you try to book in online, it says :

Touring Car Experimental Class, no motor limit, brushed & brushless. 6 cell 1500gms, 5 cell 1350gms. THIS CAN ONLY BE ENTERED AS A SECOND RACE CLASS.

So what is the point of that? I think TC X would have been the best populated class, but not if you have to run another class too.

Just to clarify the eXperimental class.

This can only be raced as a second class. It's free to enter because you will have already entered and paid for your first class.

This class will only run if numbers allow, min 5 drivers, and if time allows. If we are lucky enough to get enough driver in Mardave, 1/12th circuit and 19t (max) Touring car, there may not be time to run the experimental class. I don't think this will happen, but just in case make sure you enter another class.

I think it is because derek doesn't think it is going to be the more popular class.

I don't see the point in booking in for both classes, why dont they let u choose what class you want and if there are less than 5 drivers in one class then move the drivers and terminate that class?

Just to clear this up.

If you want to run experimental then you have to enter a 2nd class as a BACKUP incase there isnt enough drivers to make up the heat.

I dont see the need to have the two classes in the first place. The reason 27t was dropped, was so there were more racers in one class, and to make it more competitive. Having an experimental class doesn;t do that.

Sounds like they are making it nice and simple for everyone already. I want to run in the class with the most drivers, no matter which class it is. With this system in place, almost everyone is gonna book in for both TC classes, so I'll have no idea what people are actually racing.
