Last friday racing didnt take place due to lack of numbers
something needs to be done soon before we end up loseing our friday night slot in the hall probably for good if we give it up
i dont know what else to do ive made a facebook page ive been posting messages on every uk based rc forum i can find but still no luck in raising interest
it would be a shame to see touring cars cease to be at FRCC as i for one really enjoy the friday nights and the banter involved in them

suggestions please

Hi Tommy,
I'm back thanks to David sorting the forum log in; it appears to be as predicted historically the lack of interest in TCs in Scotland.
The club so I am told was originally buggy orientated, until TCs became more popular, so I would suggest running buggies on Fridays with (if numbers warrant) TCs as Sundays seem to see more members and guests turning up.
It would have to be approved of course by the committee and members though.
The other classes sich as SC and 1/12th scales have been tried before with out success, maybe monsters and crawlers would be another idea if enough interest I don't know.
My personal absence has been for health reasons which I hope I can overcome so I can resume my racing.

I've been down when work permits... but if we give up on Friday night I'll need to give up racing. Sunday isn't really practical for me as it's the only full day my girlfriend gets off work

its understandable people can only come when thier free so dont worry about that
monster truck racing would be entertaining i would think after seeing how mentle my Hpi bullet is
but we need more members or do we just give up the touring cars ?

I'd certainly be interested in giving buggy racing a go on a Friday night. Perhaps we could build a half and half track like we did back in the days when both types raced on the same night and just move a few ropes to suit.

Not the hard core track like on a Sunday but to be honest I'd be happy about that!

it wouldnt be to much hassle because weve been racing buggies on friday nights when people bring them in a special buggie heat
so that would be one idea at least

We have previously on fun nights run some track set-ups with byepass ways for TCs who did not want to jump the obstacles for buggies as John Alan knows, admittedly it was for Caravan races though but could I would think be used for TCs with buggies.:)

We have even had a jump that the touring cars could go over which was fun.
