Malcolm, You will need to contact the Racechat moderator so he can reset your password since I can not do that myself. If you still have a problem send me a personal mail with your selection and I'll add it to the list

The problem with an online poll is that the vote could be thrown by people voting who are not going to be racing at the meeting, the fair way to do it is to have a show of hands at the drivers briefing on the morning of the meeting.

I think we know what the vote is going to be anyway so i think the poll has just proved this.

If you vote for the track on the Sunday morning you will not be able to pratice the track on the Saturday which a lot of people did at Stonehaven and I guess at Carlisle as well
If it is going to be a problem we can remove votes from people who do not race the class as moderators.

It's not just the people who don't race the class though George, it's for example people who aren't going to be coming to the meeting, for example (Not getting at you Malcolm) but Malcolm has not entered for the meeting, and I don't know if he will, however he wants to vote. The same goes for anyone, that a UK wide (and wider) forum you've put the poll on, so anyone at all can vote, if they wanted to.
Also, you've just highlighted another possible flaw when you say that the moderators can change the votes, again, not saying that you would, but you could just change the votes to suit yourself.
As I say, the fairest way to do it is by show of hands on the morning of the meeting, regardless of practice or not, at least that way then everyone is on a level playing field for the race meeting, so that people who cannot make it up on the Saturday start off with less of a disadvantage than they usually would.

Folks,
I have taken on board all the comments from last weekend and I thought the poll was a good idea  Granted it's not perfect but I do think it is an improvement on just the club picking the track. I do not think picking the track on the Sunday morning using a hand vote is a good idea. One of the main advantage of a permanent track is that it stays the same shape and you can practice. It looked like over half the entry came up on Saturday and had a great day. We only race 6 times a year and if you can make a weekend of it all the better :)
I'm looking for to Carlisle and hoping the fuel problems don't upset what should be another great weekend.
