We are having problems with our AMB decoder picking up club transponders at benarty,it works fine with personal transponders. If I bring it along on Friday
is it possible to check it out on your system.

Hi Les

Have you just got new club transponders? Are the transponders registered with the race program? It should still see them as they cross the loop though and then need to be allocated to the respective drivers every time.

I assume they are fully charged? Have they worked on the system before, or have just stopped working?

No problem checking the decoder at FRCC, but I don't think it will be that if it is recording laps from PT's. Does it connect to the PC via the USB cable or serial cable?

Regards

Alex

Its all the same equipment nothing new,The laptop was counting my 1/10 car fine with a pt fitted. The club transponders were all fully charged/same people using there normal club PT as usual, its probable not the decoder at fault, but i will bring it along on friday. The decoder is usually linked to the PC with a USB and serial cable. We are going to order a new timing loop but want the check the decoder first.

Les, We had a similair problem at Stonehaven and it was the timing loop which aparently needs changed avery 3-4 years due to the wire breaking down (corrosion). We have now changed it to a proper AMB version which is better sealed and it's working perfect. The PT's when powered correctly seem to have a stronger signal. Our new loop counts all handout after they have only have 1 minutes charge from flat with the new wire.
