This Year we look forward to crowning two new champions...but who will they be?

As like last year, post your predictions for the top 5 of each championship...you can have a wildcard for each catagory...

Vote above for the years overall points champion, combining the points from both championships...

My Top5

Wood 27T Championship

1. Fraser Low
2. Leon Ritchie
3. Stuart Brown
4. Colin Barclay
5. John Lindsay

Wildcard - Marc Ritchie

Carpet 19T Championship

1. Fraser Low
2. Leon Ritchie
3. Colin Barclay
4. Scott Meichan
5. Stuart Brown

Wildcard - Marc Ritchie

No doubt Marc will notice his name as both my wildcards...

My top for each championship:

Wood 27 Turn

1. Leon Ritchie
2. Stuart Brown
3. John Lindsay
4. Scott Meichan
5. Colin Barclay

Wildcard- Me. Im not sure if I will attend enough wood rounds so wouldnt like to predict a top 5 place.

Carpet 19 Turn

1. Fraser Low
2. Leon Ritchie
3. Me
4. Stuart Brown
5. John Lindsay

Wildcard- Colin Barclay

Didnt put Fraser in for wood as im not sure if he will make it to enough rounds from the way he was talking.

And Bryce wasnt sure if you would make enough rounds this year? If you will be attending regularly I will possibly have to rethink the ol predicions.

Not looked at this thread for a long while! Mathematically both championships are now close to settled! I predict:
Colin for 27 turn!
Me for 19 turn!

big si

i think scotty for stock and stu b for superstock

frickinevilpaint
11th September 2005, 10:48 PM
Looking at stock there is only 1 point in it after 12 rounds! Both are capable and deserve it.

ballsie
11th September 2005, 11:15 PM
I think Stu for 19t and if current form continues - Scott for 27t.

Malcolm Williams

:) I agree with Ballsie not much in it though

Yeah the tables on the site dont show Scottys 4 in a row of 200 maximums as they have not been updated for a bit. You are best looking at the computer at the end of the night on Friday. Colin has to race every week until the end of the season and score big to win stock.

A bit late in the season so i'm not exactly sticking my neck out with my predicitons!

Stock:
1 Scott
2 Colin
3 Stephen Whyte
4 Andy Dunn
5 Ballsie

19 turn
1 Me
2 Scott
3 David McKeown
4 Colin
5 Ballsie

I guess we were all way off at the start of the season!

Exactly Stu - I don't think anything anticipated that Fraser, Leon, Marc etc. would have little involvement this year.

Maxxed_Ross

Not everyone was way off with the winner eh Scotty?

I did really well when i was there at the start of the year. Although i seem to be having a really bad year with carpet even though the car is more than quick enough.

Maxxed_Ross

I was like that too Leon, then I got the 415 MS and it's been like a missile ever since 8)

Shame works gets in the way so much :(

Yeh the predictions were a bit off at the start of the year, partly because a number of the top guys havent turned up enough!

Good to see a scrap that will hopefully go to the final night like last year...from what i saw when i last raced (last wood round) i think i'll give Scott the nod, but Colin will hate me saying that so you never know!

Big Bruce
1st October 2005, 10:42 AM
Well last night saw this thread answered...Scott Meichan will be the 2005 Stock Champion, well Done mate!

Really enjoyed the racing last night guys, wish i could be along alot more often!

If Colin FTQ's and Wins next time out and Scott doesn't improve on one of his previous results then they will be tied on points with Scott winning due to having more victories - right ?

frickinevilpaint
1st October 2005, 12:35 PM
Yes, in a points tie the winner is the person with more victories. I assume that a 'victory' is an A final win rather than a 200 score.

Well done to Scott for his season, and to Colin for running it so close. I cant see how anyone else will have gathered more points than Scott to stop him becoming overall champion so i better give back the shield for re-engraving. Now that both championship titles are settled the remaining rounds should give us some relaxed enjoyable racing!

ballsie
1st October 2005, 01:21 PM
Eh .... no!

I've still got a third place in the stock to fight for

stephen whyte

best of luck though....i think

Well last night saw this thread answered...Scott Meichan will be the 2005 Stock Champion, well Done mate!

Well done Scotty! Never a more deserving winner :D and as a bonus it looks like the battle for 3rd will be interesting too!

So my champion prediction was right after all, what do I win?

Big Bruce
3rd October 2005, 12:13 PM
I was going to splash out for a expensive prize...but im not in charge of that anymore  Ballsie???

Looking at the Maths i would put a little bet on Ballsie...he has a bit of a lead when you consider the next score to drop...

Dave
3rd October 2005, 05:07 PM
Just wondering....

is it not true that stuart cant be beaten??

big si
3rd October 2005, 05:09 PM
i think you are correct as long as he races the last of the carpet rounds

Dave
3rd October 2005, 06:12 PM
Im sure he doesn't need to?

scott can only gain 20 pts with 2x200s and hes 30 behind stuart?

Correct me if im wrong like.

ballsie
3rd October 2005, 10:32 PM
But theres 3 rounds left so surely he can get 3x200's?

Dave
4th October 2005, 12:04 AM
2 rounds left and even if there are 3 he cant get 30 pts out of them!

sorry bud

ballsie
4th October 2005, 12:08 AM
There's definately 3 rounds left - but I'll trust your maths on the points ;)

Dave
4th October 2005, 12:17 AM
The points sheet says there is only 2 rounds left?

Maybe someone should look into this?

ballsie
4th October 2005, 12:21 AM
Both championship points sheets are shifted one place to the right for some reason. Ability appears on the table but not in the title that makes the round 15 result appear to be the result for round 16.

Its been the same way all season - I don't know what has caused the problem.

Dave
4th October 2005, 12:38 AM
Yeah ok with 3 rounds to go worst possible case for stuart and best for scott

ie

Stuart = 3 x 0 = 2380
Scott = 3 x 200 = 2369

Big Bruce
4th October 2005, 11:04 AM
Sat down and did the maths...Stuart is already the 2005 Carpet Champion

Well Done Stu!

ballsie
4th October 2005, 11:54 AM
Well done Stu :D - I'll update the homepage when I can.

Cheers.

4th October 2005, 01:15 PM
Well done to Scotty and Stu, good going fellas.

ballsie
4th October 2005, 10:27 PM
Oops - seems I got the maths wrong.

Scott will still win the championship by 2 clear points if Colin FTQ's and wins and Scott doesn't get an improved results.

Seems John A is better at maths than me
