Guys,
Stonehaven are wanting to run an electric Off Road GP sometime, perhaps in May.
Please give any suggestions here, they're very welcome.
We hope to see you all at the HPI/Mirage on road GP weekend in July too!
Cheers,
Dan

dan, that sounds like a great idea. I think i can safely say that if you were to get a meeting set up you would definetley see us falkirk off roaders at it! as long as its not the 21 or 22nd of May as we will be at the BRCA off road at Southport that weekend.
please keep us informed, as i think it would be a great meeting to have.

all you really need to get going with a buggy, is a buggy!! basically you can pinch all the other equipment straight out of a touring car. you can pick buggies up from ebay nice and cheap. there are usually quite a lot to choose from aswell.

yeh, just had a look on ebay, thinking about a B3. Will 2wd or 4wd be more popular?

2WD tends to be the better attended class, but i think 4wd is just about as popular. 2WD is cheaper hence its more popular. if you can, get a B4 rather than a B3 as there was quite a big improvement from B3 to B4. B4's are very strong, i have been racing the same one for around 18 months and have rarely broke it.

hi, not sure if any of you guys are interested in an off road meeting, however here is the information about the Scottish Off Road Grand Prix Sunday 5th June 2005 , it would be great to see a good attendance at this meeting.
here is the email i got from Dan Rowlands
Dear fellow R/C racers,
We have organised an off road meeting! Please spread the word round your fellow off roaders, past & present! Many of us started from 'grass roots' racing ;o) so we thought it would be nice to get this class going again up in Scotland! Get your completed forms (link below) posted off to us ASAP if you want to guarantee a place! The day is limited to 120 drivers. The surface is grass.
Classes running:
- 2WD 1/10th Electric Buggy
- 4WD 1/10th Electric Buggy
- Trucks (Electric & Nitro - depending on numbers on the day we may create separate heats, otherwise stadium trucks and mosters will race together!Fun!)
