....Dave McKeown at Knockhill yesterday:erm: Driving a silver vectra (I think) through the paddock at about 1.30pm...?? I stayed for about 3 hours but never saw you again (if it was indeed you i saw:roll:)

Yeah that was me. I was up trying out my new lens for my camera. The weather was a bit crap but I got some good pics.

Looking like there's a wee bit of camera shake in the images Dave. I see your shooting at ISO 100, you could easily raise this to 400, without too much image degradation, this would allow you a faster shutter speed. Which would help untill you get used to panning with the longer lens.
Obviously there's a good sense of movement in your pictures as the wheels aren't completely frozen, but I think given the high speeds you can get away with a faster shutter and still have the good sense of speed.

I'll try that the next time John. When I got home, I noticed that the IS mode was set wrong as well it was on mode 1 and it should have been on mode 2.
