Go to www.teamorion.com and you'll see the pics of the new HPI Hot Bodies belt drive car.It has lots of purple bits on it and looks really nice.According to the piece of news it was made for Hara and Surikarn and i think this will suit Surikarn as all his best results have been with a belt drive car.As you'll see in the pics the car is very similar to the Worlds Winning TRF 415 and the new X-RAY which again is like the Worlds Winning TRF 415 which is no bad thing and lets face it all cars are very similar it just depends who does it first, with Tamiya doing it first heh heh.

You get the impression that cars now are falling into the 'F1' style of design, i.e. the basic shape of all the cars is the same...but there are subtle differences to spot.

Looks nice

I totally agree with you Bryce, whats the point of a manufacturer going out on a limb taking a huge chance.

Yep makes things a wee bity boring though.

Doesnt really affect me, even if I wanted to I wouldnt be able to afford a new car :D

Lets just hope that doesn't happen Bryce. It's a bit low down and lazy to pinch someone's design that you know works.

It's like that funny Mazda that looks identical to a Fiesta, apart from a black strip on the boot :x

Mazda are owned by Ford and i think they just gave them the design...bit weird considering the likes of Skoda still change the look of the Octavia, even though it is a Passat underneath...

The Octavia is actually a Bora underneath.

its the Superb that is on the Passat platform :)

Same difference, since the Bora is a slightly modified Passat anyway

Lets just hope R/C comes back to it's senses and starts producing original designs again. :(

Apologies gentlemen...

As Ross said..."same Bl**dy difference!"

Back on topic, i think as we enter a computer generated century of RC, programs will slowly come to a similair ideal shape, as i mentioned before like F1.

Both look like nice cars  Its whats best at Falkirk that matters to me...
