Following taking out the 2004 IFMAR World Championship with the TRF415 chassis, 18-year-old German R/C champion Marc Rheinard has officially signed a 2 year contract with Tamiya.
Officially announcing the new contract, Marc visited the Tamiya booth at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, where he was warmly welcomed to the Tamiya family by President Shunsaku Tamiya. The new partnership will see Marc fly the Tamiya colors on circuits throughout the world for the next 2 years as he works towards his second consecutive IFMAR title and Tamiya Racing Factory (TRF) works toward their third.
Marc's first official race as a TRF work's driver was the Thailand International Touring Championships held in Bangkok, February 19 & 20. Racing a modified TRF415 chassis Marc came in 3rd place overall. The TRF415 showed a powerful performance helping 4 TRF drivers finish in the top 10.
