If you have not seen already, DDRCC are hosting two carpet Open meetings sponsored by Titanium Racing (prizes from them at 2nd round) on the 6th March & 10th April.

These meetings will be run to the new for 2005 Scottish Carpet Championship format i.e. Superpole controlled practice rnd 1, open practice to allow late entries to book in on the day, Superpole controlled practice rnd 2, 3 rounds FTQ qualifying, 3 finals for all.

Entry forms are available from www.ddrcc.co.uk, just download and email back, payment on the day allowable.

I like the sound of this new format. Should keep things interesting throughout the day :)

If I'm not away then I'm up for going. Anyone else? 8)

By the way what motor could anyone suggest for this, mine is a bit old and past it for big events

As I keep telling Stephen, a V2, either a Peak Dynasty or Orion Element Revolution. They are basically the same motor re-badged.

The Reedy Quad Mag is worth a mention too - you just missed out, I sold mine a fortnight ago.

I think we were the only ones there from Falkirk, I qualified pole, won the first leg then buggered up in the second leg to finish 3rd behind Ross Kerr, and Stephen Cresswell just ahead of Martin Wallace in 4th.

A very competitive day, for example I won the 2nd and 3rd rounds and the gap was little more than a second or 2 seconds. Very good day, just a shame that it was poorly attended.
