Will Falkirk club be allowing the use of the new Novak 13.5 Brushless stock equivalent motor?

Officially, I'd imagine if it's BRCA legal then there's no issue.
Might have to take a decision on it if it's not - any idea on price?

normal brushless kit price , but it is comparable ferformance from what i have seen, shouldnt be a problem as steven cresswell was using a 4,5 brushless last ime i was thee and its equivelant to a 7 turn , but he did have the high point turned down to approx 30%

That concerns me a bit to be honest. Having said that; what maintenance do you have to do on a brushless system?

How much is a brushless system? Is everyone still running 19t on carpet?

I read somehwere that brushless motors need the bearings cleaned after around 5000 hours of running.

That's pretty impressive!

I took mine apart after monday night to have a look at it. The only maintenance you could possibly do is replace the bearings.
The front bearing, which takes most of the effort is considerably larger than a normal bearing.
I am coming up on Friday and would be keen to run it, if no-one minds.
I know you will all be running 19t so I cant see too many people complaining.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with that Gary, after all as you said, we'll all be running 19t anyway.
If you don't mind me asking - how much did it set you back?
Cheers,
Alan

£160 for a Novax GTB, a 13.5 motor and a 6.5 motor.
Tower Hobbies were doing a deal on them at the time. I got stung £30 for import tax. But still a pretty good deal in my opinion.
The one thing I would say to anyone looking to get one, I have a sphere comp as well as the Novak and the LRP/Nosram is an easier speedo to use.
All the speedos run brushed motors too, so its not as big an expense as people make out.

Thanks Garry,
Is the 6.5 an Equivalent to a 19 turn?
Do LRP make an equivalent to the stock or 19 turn?

6.5 is more like an 11 turn.
LRP dont make one yet, but I cant see it being far off
