Ya, many reasons. Too many to discuss.

Ford - put a circle around the problem

Fix or repair daily

four wheels and a board.

Need I go on. Everyone know Fords are ****.

Series 1 Turbos are nice, YB engines are good (but they got someone else to make them) and there are a few other classics that are ok, so long as you dont want to drive them.

Coming from a former ford owner here.

Not too keen on Pugs to be honest - the 206 is easily the worst car I've ever driven!

307 was a different story - very good hire car for long motorway journeys.

At the least the Ford will reach B

Fords are better these days nomatter what they were like in the past. Ford (Europe) effectively is a German company with quality way better than anything produced west of the Maginot line! Fords are know to be good drivers cars relative to the (mainstream) opposition. I would have a Ford no problem.

driven a coupke of mk 6 fiesta's, thought they were really nice wee cars. It feels well built and solid when you drive it. It's a doddle to drive too and really comfy.

Big thing I've noticed ford have got right with small cars over almost anyone else is the peddels. With most small cars I'd have no chance of driving them as the peddles are just too damn close together for my big feet

Funnily enough, that was one of the reasons that stopped me buying a Peugeot 106 as my first car!

Actually I really like the wee 106. It should be heralded as the best Peugeot of the 1990's (since the 205 GTi was obviously the best one of the 80's). Funnily enough, I feel the 107 should be heralded the best Peugeot of the nuaghties (i.e. 2000 onward). We seem to have a trend going here. Whats more, the reason the 107 is the best of Peugeot of the moment is because its not a Peugeot...its a Toyota with a Peugeot badge :-P

is the 107 the car that they make and 3 different manufacturers stick there own bits on it? Seen a thing about it on TV and sure it was Pug Toyota and Vauxhal I think

I really liked the shape of the wee 106, and the quicksilver version looked great lowered on a set of RS Kahns

It's a Pug 107, Toyota Aygo & Citroen C1 - I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Aygo I must admit :D

Yeah I have to admit I do to Ballsie...its kinda cute (not the kind of word a man would normally want to use to describe a car he likes LOL). Apparently its good to drive though and the 1.0 litre engine is suppose to be fantastic for what it is with class leading fuel economy. Will still do 100mph too...just! I'd love to have a shot of driving one.

Don't be too shocked if you see me turning up to the club in one - that's all I'll say :)

i wouldnt be , the cost of an Aygo is about 3 weeks fuel for the evo

in fact if ballsie doesnt buy anything from hong kong for a few weeks he'd afford one on those proceeds alone

The Saxo was notorious for having tightly spaced pedals.

The Saxo was just Citroen going into the Peugeot factory, steeling some 106's, putting their badge on it, ripping the Peugeot dashboard out and replacing it with a crappyier citroen one, and saying "here is our car the Saxo". I've alwasy said, that if you want a Citroen Saxo...buy the Peugeot 106. What badge would you rather drive around with on your car...Peugeot or Citroen. Peugeot everytime (despite the fact I don't like them these day, I hate Citroen more!)! I did like the 106 having said that, and the GTi was a wee gem!

You tend to find that the 106 is bought by the more sophisticated person; students, young adults who have just started work etc. The saxo on the other hand tends to be driven by the kind of person who likes burberry and shell suits, possibly matched by a pair of white trainers and a baseball cap.
