Yeah made for some interesting reading. I feel that a lot of current Durango owners might feel a little hard done by, having paid £400 + on a car which now appears to be had for a mere £250 albeit with some plastic parts instead of alloy. I reckon it will be the best 4wd in its price bracket now. The CAT SX2 will come in at around £280 street price.
there are a couple of parts I would like to change on my DEX410, maybe try out the plastic side supports (with transponder mount) and the newer driveshafts with 2mm pins instead of 1.5mm pins which tend to snap.
mon, the Durango's :-)

forgot to mention, that the Ball Diff rumour was just that, the car comes with the standard Gear Diffs - nothing in the design of the diffs has been changed.

So Ross, theres a space in the Durango Pit Camp for you. You'll not want to be moving to the Schumacher camp now I reckon ;-) Team Fandango makes sense, but you'll have to wear a personalised Durango high-vis vest when marshalling.

yeah i'm not sure which to go with....... i like the pure simplicity of the design that the durango has....... the cat looks like a solution to a set of problems as opposed to a clear design

Yeah I've got to agree that the Durango's design is simple and clean. I was a bit put off by the idea of removing the slipper to change batteries, but now that I have done it many times, it is actually not a problem at all. In fact changing batteries doesn't take me any longer than it did on the B44.
To be honest the CAT just looks a bit too cluttered in terms of design, too many belts for an offroader. With the Durango, 4 screws and the diffs are out, easily the best designed car I have had so far. I stripped the diffs out and checked the bearings yesterday after wednesday night, and it took me less than half an hour to remove/check and put the diffs back together.
