Racing ability is calculated each night on how your performance is to the top person on the night.

If I am wrong someone will correct me.

Smally is correct:

It is assumed by the computer that the person who wins a night is the best, and the abilities are updated every week.

The winner of the night is granted a 15 ability, and everyone else's time is assessed as a percentage of that. If the winner of the night does 30 laps in exactly 5 minutes, gaining an ability of 15 then someone who does 20 laps exactly in 5 minutes will be given an ability of 10.

and 13.5turn night and 10.5turn nights are seperate abilities as i found out. You can have 3 really good nights in 13.5t championship and then turn up for the 10.5t and be in heat 1 or vice versa, if your results where poor in the previous rounds or you didnt attend.
I really like the system cause it rewards you if you have a good night, and puts you back heats if your struggling. Gives people are chance to be in top heat or move up heats, rather than always being stuck with same people based on last years championship.
