Hi Guys and Dolls
Just a reminder about drivers being fully paid up for FRCC and BRCA before they can score any points!!!!! This was agreed at the AGM to keep non-member drivers upsetting the weekly Club points tallies.
Not only that, some drivers will need their BRCA membership cards for the Indoor GP on 4th February, and Derek Kerr will want to see your Membership Cards before you are allowed a run. To allow Yvonne to apply to the BRCA on your behalf, and it makes more sense to do this in one go, then M/S forms should be returned by 19/02/07. BRCA membership cards are red this year, and are an instant give away.
When you fill in your application form and give it back to Yvonne, she will give me a note of the information on it and I will apply it to the Race Program. This will keep the program up-to-date with all your crystals, cars etc. I (under the guidance of the Committee) will give you all an ability which is based on your merits on the 2006 championship. This will have also have some amendments to drivers who did not complete the championships, who were club members, and normally run quickly.
These abilities will obviously be up for negotiation, and I am willing to come and go to get the best possible ability that will keep all happy. Again, this is something that will need to be modified throughout the year, according to Committee discussion, and your performance in the 2007 series.
There is a box on the Race program system, which by default, is unchecked (member of club box) and obviously tells the system who count in the champs, and who not.
The first round of the wood championship is on 02/02/07 and that will be the deadline for updating the system, and scoring points.
Yes, you can join after that date, but I am unsure if, for example, you are not a member on the first round, but you join on the second or third rounds, if the system will count back and include you in the scores. I don't see how it possibly can though! SO CAN YOU GET YOUR FORMS BACK TO YVONNE ASAP TO GET YOUR POINTS.
I will be updating the system on an ongoing basis and would appreciate if when you get new or change your crystals you could let me know, likewise if you change address or e-mail address as Club notices can be sent via the race program to your e-mail account.
Please also remember that the club's PC transmits the DriverNet every race night and with a copy of NetScreen on your PC, you will be able to view the nights race results on your own pit table. John Allan and I have the program ready for download to your PC.
