Its this Sunday im lead to belive we have problems with lifts so may not both be able to make it up but thats still a little up in the air.

So who from Falkirk is likely to be going?

I confess I have no idea really about what is going on this year, my own fault for not attending the AGM though :!:

To Repeat what my dad said on the Racechat Forum:

Please remember that if your entries have not been received by 16:00 on the Friday prior to any round, then the heats will be made up for the Superpole and you will not be included by ability. For Round 2, Kirkcaldy, the deadline is 16:00 on Friday 13/05/05 - Oh No! Black Friday!

Any "on the day entries" will be seeded for Superpole in the early heats, and you will still require to complete the Entry Form.

All we are asking you to do is send all your information on the Entry Form before the event, so we can "book you in" on the computer. You can still pay on the day, although it is much easier to send a cheque. If you agree to pre-book for all rounds at once, you can also take advantage of the discounted entry fee.

Not only that, you will be sent confirmation of your entry and directions as given by the Host Club, assuming you have given us a valid e-mail address. Confirmation can be sent by post, if time permits, as can any directions given by the Host Club if you are not on E-mail.

The Entry Form can be down-loaded from Entry Form at www.srca.org and filled in on line, saved and then sent by post or e-mail to treasurer@srca.org

You know it makes sense to Pre-Book, after all what hard-ship is it??

Just heard about 5minutes ago that we can make it! :D

Dont know if I can get an entry away in time Ill see what I can do, is there no online entry now that would be a real time saver.

John Lindsay

Online entry forms have been available since February sometime,

Remember the SRCA has a website, www.srca.org which has all the relevant information along with what should be an up-to-date entry list for the meetings.

For those of you who canny be bovered, here's (http://www.srca.org/documents/SRCAEntryForm05.pdf) a direct link to the online PDF format entry form which means all you have to do is fill it in on your computer and email it to treasurer@srca.org, it's easy as pie and will probably take you less time than it took me to write this.

That document also has all the info to do with meeting format on it as well.
It also has 27T touring "ticked" for Carlisle as an example just click on the existing tick to remove it and then click on the boxes of the classes and rounds you would like to enter, remember by entering 5 or more rounds that you get a discounted entry fee of £8 per round instead of the £10 that it is for individual rounds.

We don't use Acrobat reader we have Acrobat Professional, but when we open the document there is an option to do Send as email.

Don't know why it isn't working only thing I can think of is that it is something at your end as several other people have done it this way.

Well I'm stuffed then as I don't have a printer for my laptop :(

I just have acrobat so if it won't work with that I dunno what to do :?

can you bring a blank one with you on Friday and I'll fill it out there (if that's ok)

Maxxed_Ross
12th May 2005, 11:36 PM
On closer inspection of the file I don't think it is me.

I keep getting a little message at the top saying " you cannot save data typed on this sheet, print a copy for your reference" :x

And when I try and save a blank one to my computer and start again the same thing happens - every time I go to email it it says I can't email the data entered and it sends a blank sheet

Did you have any luck with it Bryce? :?

Any ideas John, or can you send me a copy that isn't protected like this? :)

Grant Barclay

its not the file thats protected its the program your using. you'll be using adobe acrobate READER which mean you can only read the file and not write to them. the only thing that can be done is that u get softwar that will write to this type of file.

Okay guys, whats happening tomorrow? Is this round on as planned or has the location been changed? A lot of people were worried last night and there was a fair bit of uncertainty. I want to come through to watch as it will be a nice run in the Porsche and it looks to be a nice day.

Well to all the falkirk guys that made the jounrney, thanks! It was a top day, although it didn't go totally according to plan for anyone at some point

Weather was amazing all day - sunburn all round :D

Well a brief series of events -

Practice: Craig Hunter gets really bad interference but sorts it out before superpole

First round: I blow the brakes on my new Novak! Agh! Not too much fun driving without brakes  But it was Si to the rescue and he gave me a loan of his spair for the rest of the day - thanks for all the help mate

Mid rounds: Fairly up and down for everyone. Craig, Andy and myself were doing fairly well in the 19t while Scotty was pounding round in the mods. He way amazingly quick  Si wan't quite so lucky and had several problems with his diff, melting 2 in the space of 2 rounds - I don't think even I could have managed that! :x

Final round: I think almost everyone came away from the last round fairly happy. I set my fastest time of the day and made it into the 19t C, wile Andy and Craig made the D final. Scott was really unlucky here and a series of problem ment that he just missed out on the mod A final. Si also melted ANOTHER diff and decided enough was enough. Better luck next time mate :(

Finals: I don't have a clue where everyone finished but I do know that Scott was robbed of wining the B final in the mods. One of the dog bone pins had come loose giving him 3 wheel drive. I started 5th in the 19t C and ended up 3rd after a great close race with some really good drivers.

All in all I think the standard of driving has really improved, the only messy final start all day was the mod A - who only managed a corner and a half before a pile-up!

I know everyone will have their own story to add to this.... 8)

Well the day was superb and some of the racing was good but there's still a lot of drivers who won't let quicker guys through but it can't be great all the time eh.
Andy started the day with a motor that needed skimmed and trying to get this into his head was difficult. He was so slow to start with, then put my new Dynasty in his car and geared the thing up and he started to go a bit better. We geared it up more and suddenly he was flying.
Ross was finding out a lot about his car outdoors and looked like he would go really well and just as he was about to go for it i heard him say from the rostrum  i've got no brakes. His Novak had blown the brake FET and he was stumped.Never fear Si's here was the saying back at the pits and Si gave him a loan of his spare speedo. After getting this sorted and playing with the gearing Ross looked back to his best and really started to get the hammer down.
Young Craig had a mixed day and with this i mean he was enjoying running a new car but because of all his interference and niggling problems he wasn't really able to get the best from his car. After getting some of these problems sorted he came good and looked as quick as anyone in his heat.
Big Si  I really thought Si was going to have a really good day as when he went for practice his car looked really well set up and fast but then as fate would have it something wasn't right with the car.I've melted the diff was what we heard from him and so the diff changing began in earnest with him doing it 3 times and still it kept going wrong.I'D never heard of this B4 but something was wrong.Si eventually gave up and looked lost as to what was causing this to happen.
Now onto myself.I went for practice and the car felt really good and so fast but that was to be my only good run untill my 3rd round of qualifying. I had drivesahfts come loose and belts snapping and so on.It was getting to me but as the lads were saying my car was awesome in the clean runs so i've got to take heart from that and it's so frustrating but that's racing as i kept getting told.
Overall excellent track and venue and would go back again no probs.
Cheers
