Lee Martin has secured the 2WD Off Road European Championship for Tamiya. Lee's been the quickest driver all through the championship and thoroughly deserved it, congrat sto him and Tamiya. Let's see how he does in 4WD. Check out http://news.efra.ws/ for info and videos.

well done to Lee Martin and Tamiya, what a car.
Although Hupol and Durango showing promise for the new DEX210 also.
and the Euros, proving that Associated and the B4, are still at the sharp end of competition.

If anyone's interested, I've run my Lap Analysis system of the final and produced these printouts showing some key info about the Euro results.

You find it all here (http://home.btconnect.com/nesystems/EURO10/LA-Euro2010.htm)

I'm sure you'll all be able to work it out, but as a guide, here's some info on the figures:

1 page per driver
Highlighted in green are best 3 fastest laps
Anything slower than "best lap + 3 secs" is regarded as a "Crash Lap"
Crash Laps are highlighted red
C-Average is the average of all "non-crash laps"

The idea is that this sheet will immediately show how much faster any driver could go faster, if they didn't crash.

The "best lap" averages show what could be achieved if every lap matched consistency with the best laps shown.

Sometimes, single best laptime doesn't show everything. For instance, it's interesting to see that in the Leg 1 A Final, Lee Martin was only bettered by Jorg in the 3-lap average - if Jorg had kept that pace up through the entire race, he might have won Leg 1.

And again, in Leg 2, Jorg's 3-lap average is better than Lee's. Interestingly, Neil's 3-lap average is competitive with Jorg and Lee's - maybe Neil would have been wise to practise more before heading to Vienna...

Overall, looking at the data, it shows me very quickly, that Lee won because he didn't make any mistakes. He wasn't necessarily the fastest. He was just fast enough, with no errors...

I do well enough, thank you. Advice noted and ignored.

FWIW, this is my job. I think I'm good at it and think all this will eventually make the effort worthwhile, financially, I reckon.

Don't worry, I won't forget the "little people" when I'm rich and famous!!!
MUUUAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAHAH!!!
