hi ppl how are you all i am thinking of taking up racing again i did it years ago my last car was a cat 2000 so i am just looking around to see what you lot are using. To see what i will get and boy have things changed bigger batteries, spektrum, and tyre warmers i thought i was seeing things when i poped my head in to the club and so many old faces ( sorry Andy no pun intended) lol so if any one has any tips or advice on what car i should get i have been looking at a TT01 but i don't know how tune able it is or should i go 4 a trf415 which looks very good but very costly and as i am haveing to start all over again can anyone help ....

I'm sure we could help David but dunno if i want too

its always nice to see the old faces return to the club.

first things first cars
loads to choose from but from memory you were always one for stripping the car on a regular basis i would have to say one of the new xray yok bd cyclone or one of the many new tamiyas (easy cars to maintain and repair)

radio gear
spektrum is awesome but with its release it has made all other frequencies freer

cells
the new breed of IB cells are awesome but if just for club racing GP3300 are more than enough

i think that answers all your questions

i run the yokomo BD

Just advertised my Cyclone - http://www.falkirkrcc.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=7226#post7226

Since you're new I'd include a 27 turn and 19 turn motor.

ta ballsie i think i need to start small as i have to get eveything ...have any one herd of . TIFK EVO2 XRAY , MONSTER MYO2 ( ment to be a step bellow trf415)

ballsie

No worries.

I'd steer clear of the MY02 for one reason - availability of spare parts; I've never seen any spares for it (although some 415 parts can be used).

You might want to take a look at ebay and the Hot Bodies Cyclone S - you can get these for well under £100 from Hong Kong.

Cheers.

And if you give me a shout, I am getting rid of a load of cells, and some electrics.
