Rules are out for this years SCC and it now includes 2WD buggies.
Why does falkirkrcc not come up with a proposal to run some of the SCC rounds within bowhouse or at another venue?
I think somewhere on this forum I have looked into this before and there is a lot of profit for the club could get from getting 60 plus entires from each event.
Can we talk about this on friday and get something put together for derek?
Cheers

I spotted that too, why only 2wd I wonder? Mind you the entry form does not include a separate section for offroad like it does the other categories d'oh!

I'd guess 2wd only with the ribbed front tires is to reduce the amount of wear on the carpet compared to a 4wd with spikes all round. You could just run foams like we used to do back in the day....

What hall is being used in KHS?

Should be the games hall John, it had four badminton courts marked out on the floor so it should be the same size as Dunfermline, the lighting is better from what I remember but it has been a few years since I've been there. There is a viewing gantry above the main hall and there are two smaller sized gym halls (slightly bigger than one badminton court) which I would guess will be used for pitting?

Will the pitting hall and racing hall be close together?

Actually I still have my XX-4 and foams too, just need a saddle lipo and decent motor (and a few parts to fix the broken bits). Wonder how many folks actuallly have a 2wd buggy tho.

Lol
Just wondering if it will be like Dunfermline cos there were a lot of problems with communication. If it is closer then i think it would be a lot better.

If they are using the small gym halls for pitting then the halls are only about 30m apart with a couple sets of double door's to go through. Unless Derek has arranged for the use of the canteen for pitting? Plenty of table and chairs to go around for pitting it would be bring your own table for the gym hall. Purely speculating at this point as I haven't heard anything else concrete.

Just re-read the entry form and it is 'bring your own pit table'.

Derek always has too much bass dialled into those speakers and needs to turn it down so that he can be heard more clearly during the event.

Im looking forward to it. Always a really good series.
Hopefully there will be a decent turnout this year.
I wonder if this will be the last year that involves Touring Cars?
The end is nigh I reckon.

Why do you say that mate, cause the outdoor series has such poor numbers, more interest in buggies.....?

Yeah Bryan the numbers are low pretty much everywhere.
Our club is lucky to get 2 heats nowadays.

The negative attitudes are not helping others coming to the club. Also, I reckon numbers are low cos folk are scared off at the cost to remain competitive due to the recent technology advancements. The weather has been pants for outdoors most of the year so don't see much point in potentially wrecking my gear just to have a wet race and don't have the funds to invest in a 'wet car' as well.
I can either spend another couple of hundred quid and buy a top notch speedo to be more competitive in TC, mind you having compared my times to the last SRCA round at Stoney my pace in the B final would have been good for a fourth overall in the A so not that bad really.
Or I could sell the lot and buy a buggy and mod motor instead. The new NORA won't be that far from me anyways but if club racing is every Sunday then there is no point for me as I have too many other commitments.

Im not getting this negative attitude thing?
A lot of people on here have a lot to say but dont actually attend the club.
Try supporting the club and come and race.

I do race quite often, my only reasons for absence so far this year is
A) delay releasing the MI4 which I had pre-ordered so missed 4 weeks.
B) That **** with my Tekin speedo so missed several weeks
C) Having a wedding and a 60th to attend the last couple of weeks.
Just saying that when you hear folk at the club saying " I can't be arsed" or "this is ****" when having a bad night it can have an affect on others who may begin to agree and not bother coming anymore.
