Interclub Championship??

I had an idea the other day about this.
It looks like all the clubs are struggling with low attendances at the moment across Scotland.
How about organising an interclub series.
Each club that takes part will hold a round on their usual club night.
So we could have Ayr, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Broxburn, Dundee and any others that are still on the go.
It would be a decent way to get the clubs busy and gives us all some good racing.
What does everyone think?

The only problem with the idea is running each event on the normal club night does make traveling to the venue for each club's starting time difficult for the weekday clubs. Otherwise top idea and something DundeeRCC would be interested in supporting.

Who would coordinate/organise the events? (would it be something big A would be willing to do)

Im sure if we can get enough interest we could sort it out between the clubs.
It shouldnt take much to run as each club would run their round like a normal night so its not really one persons responsibilty.
We just need to see what clubs are interested and come up with dates for the series that suit everyone.

Sounds good Kenny, i'd be up for it. In reality the only problem would be for people travelling from the two furthest away clubs to each others meetings, the rest are pretty much central, well within about an hours drive of each other.

Sounds good Kenny, but as Bryan says travelling on week days could be a problem for those that are farther away from the venues.

Maybe if it was run in two sections such as Central down to Ayr and central up to say Stonehaven with the semis and finals run on a weekend suitable to all; just my thoughts on the idea mate:)

I'm up for that, back in the day a squad of us from Falkirk used to visit some of the central clubs. I remember us invading the likes of Ayr and Pennycuik (if that's how you spell it) and having a great night. We even did a few Stonehaven rounds and made a weekend of it.
