  • all cars must weigh a minimum of 1500g (except where a 5 cell battery pack is used - see below).
  • Maximum six cells (7.2V nimh battery pack) allowed. where 5 cell packs are used then the car must weigh no less that 1425g. cells must be from the brca homologation list. lithium polymer (lipo) batteries are allowed if they appear on the brca homologation list.
  • for wood racing, only 27 turn stock motors from the brca homologation list may be used. 13.5 brushless motors are allowed if their uk rrp is £50 or less.
  • for carpet racing, only 19 turn spec motors from the brca homologation list may be used. 10.5 brushless motors are allowed if they appear on the brca homologation list.
  • All cars must display one number (on the front windscreen) on club nights.
  • No car to be raced without body shell, i.e. no exposed gears.

Driving

  • Driving only allowed from rostrum.
  • No driver is to leave the rostrum until race is over.
  • Race Referee / Director is empowered to give driving and marshalling penalties. Penalties will be given for reckless driving; comer cutting; false starts; ignoring rules and will consist of one or more of the following: 10-second penalty; 1 lap deduction; disqualification. The Race Referee / Director, whose decision is final, will decide this at the time.

Race Referee / Director will not give penalty for accidental comer cutting, provided sufficient time is spent stationary so that no advantage is gained.
  • Queries concerning lap times and scores should be addressed to Race Referee / Director during the breaks between rounds.

Marshalling

  • Marshals to stay at posts until the race is over.
  • Drivers must marshal (even if the driver has retired from racing for the evening) or be substituted (with permission from the Race Referee/Director) or drivers will lose all their points for that evening.
  • Drivers will incur penalties (see driving section for list of penalties) for bad marshalling by themselves or substitutes.
  • Marshals must have their hands free and be standing at all times.
  • Poor marshalling, late arrival to marshal post or failure to return transponder prior to marshalling will result in the loss of your fastest time so far.

Conduct

  • Junior members are allowed a neutral representative to protest decisions.
  • Any driver, representative, mechanic or friend of driver found to be under the influence of drink or drugs or using abusive language or behaving abusively will be expelled from the meeting and will be subject to further restrictions (probably expulsion for a given term) decided by the FRCe Committee.
  • No handsets to be switched on in pit without prior consultation with Race Referee / Director.
  • Any complaints regarding bad driving or poor marshalling should be made to the Race Referee / Director and not to the individual concerned. The Race Referee / Director will then resolve the complaint.
  • At this point, the Race Referee / Director would like to remind all FRcc members that if they witness any behaviour that is against the rules, please report it to a committee member. Co-operation and team spirit will make FRCC meetings enjoyable for everyone.

Happy Racing and Good Luck to everyone!
